Holocaust denial is the denial or the trivialisation of the Holocaust (the mass murder of around 6 million Jews by Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1945). Holocaust deniers argue that 1) that the deaths of Jews and other victims was unintentional; 2) that Nazi Germany only intended to deport or enslave the Jewish population of Europe rather than exterminate them; 3) that Nazi massacres were actually carried out by the Soviet Red Army or NKVD; 4) that the death toll of the Jewish Holocaust is much lower than the agreed-upon estimate of 6 million; or 5) that the Holocaust was an outright fabrication invented by the Allied Powers of World War II (and in particular the Soviet Union), who were led by a Jewish conspiracy.
