Robert Gene Baker (November 12, 1928 – November 12, 2017) was a Statesian politician and criminal. He bribed Senator Lyndon B. Johnson to vote against anti-racketeering laws. In 1963, he reported a net worth of $2 million, more than 100 times his official annual salary. Life magazine was planning to expose his crimes on December 6, 1963.[1]
