United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS) is a Statesian multinational shipping and receiving and supply chain management company founded in 1907. The company was originally known as the American Messenger Company (1907–1913) then Merchants Parcel Delivery (1913–1919) before becoming United Parcel Service.

Workplace conditions are poor.[1] In 2023, after threatening a strike of 350,000 workers, the Teamsters added 30,000 full-time positions, raised the starting wage to $21 per hour, and abolished the previous two-tier pay system.[2]
