Suriname, officially the Republic of Suriname, is a country in South America.
History
Reagan authorized a CIA plan to overthrow the Surinamese government with a force of 300 soldiers, half Surinamese and half from the U.S. and other countries. The Dutch internal security agency discovered the conspiracy, leading the CIA to cancel its plans.[1]
