The World Happiness Report is an annual survey taken by the World Population Review since 2002. The ratings are based on six factors: GDP per capita/standards of living, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and corruption. The most recent survey contained results from 143 countries.[1]

Results

Scandinavian countries consistently make the top ten, and Finland has been first for ten years in a row.[1] All countries in the top ten in 2024 were imperialist, including two settler-colonies and six monarchies. The lowest-ranked country was Afghanistan, a victim of a 20-year U.S. war of aggression.[2]
