Campism refers to the Marxist or otherwise leftist view that the the present Cold War-like tensions between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China and the US-EU bloc is primarly a mere repeat of the 20th century, with the Socialist states against the Capitalist states. This view is fundamentally a backwards and flawed one, as it largely ignores the Imperialist and Capitalist transition seen in both those states.[1]
