The Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research is an anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist research institution.

The name comes from a revolutionary conference held by Cuba in 1966 called the Tricontinental Conference, which led to the establishment of the Organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America (OSPAAAL).[1]

The executive-director of the Tricontinental is Vijay Prashad.
