Bauxite is a sedimentary rock with a relatively high aluminium content making it the world's main source of aluminium and gallium. World reserves of bauxite stand at an estimated 29 billion tonnes with yearly production at an estimated 450 million tonnes, mainly in Guinea, Australia and China.[1]
