Dahyukah (died 678 BCE), also known by the Greek name Deioces, was a Median chieftain. He initially ruled the state of Manna as a vassal of Assyria. In 716 BCE, King Rusa I of Urartu captured 22 fortresses in Manna and forced him to break his alliance with Assyria. Šarrukīn II of Assyria captured and deposed Dahyukah in 715 BCE.[1]
