The Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea was a three party coalition (with more non-governmental organisations) existing in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The front was formed on 22 July 1946 and would officially be dissolved on 23 March 2024 following the abandonment of peaceful reunification following a revised stance on reunification by Kim Jong-un, which would officially lead to the coalition's eventual disbandment.[1]
The parties and organisations that had formed the coalition during it's existence are as follows:
Party/Organisation | Seats in the Supreme People's Assembly |
---|---|
Workers' Party of Korea | 607/687 |
Korean Social Democratic Party | 50/687 |
Chondoist Chongu Party | 22/687 |
Ch'ongryŏn | 6/687 |
