Historical nihilism refers to historical revisionism conducted by the bourgeoisie against the proletariat.
Xi Jinping is a staunch opponent of historical nihilism[1] and has condemned Western efforts to distort the CPC's history.[2] A similarly dangerous form of historical nihilism occurs when socialist states or parties revise their own understanding of their history to favor a bourgeois version. Nikita Khrushchev's "Secret Speech" and its aftermath for the Soviet Union is regarded as a cautionary tale about historical nihilism by some supporters of the CPC.[3]
