Kaja Kallas (born 18 June 1977) is an Estonian politician and diplomat who has served as High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy as well as Vice-President of the European Commission under Ursula von der Leyen since 2024. She previously served as the first female prime minister of Estonia from 2021 until 2024, and as leader of the Estonian Reform Party from 2018 to 2024.
Kallas' politics revolve around her rabid Russophobia, which has resulted in her being an incompetent diplomat, prone to provoking tensions with both allies and rivals. She has primarily used her position to push for increasing European militarism in support of imperialist agression towards Russia and is vocal in providing support for Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War.[1] Kallas, like many EU officials, is also complicit in the Palestinian genocide, having offered little complaint about Israel's war crimes and continues to provide support for the entity during its war.[2]
