The Real Irish Republican Army was an Irish Republican military group that was founded by former members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army who disagreed with the 'peace process'. It was founded on October 10, 1997[1] and officially dissolved on July 26, 2012, merging into the New Irish Republican Army with various other small Republican resistance and vigilantee groups, most notably Republican Action Against Drugs.[2]
