Taheruq (died 664 BCE) was a Nubian ruler and pharaoh of Egypt. Following his predecessors' wars with the Egyptians, he participated in peace negotiations with Nekau I, the ruler of the Egyptian cities of Men-nefer and Zau. In 667 BCE, the Assyrian king Aššuraḫaiddina defated them and occupied Men-nefer. After Taheruq's death in 664 BCE, he was succeeded by Tenutamen.[1]
