Yumjaagiin Tsedenbal (1916 September 17 – 1991 April 20) was a Mongolian communist politician.

Second World War[edit | edit source]

Tsedenbal served as a Lieutenant General in the Second World War and was awarded the Order of Kutuzov, first class.[1]:380

Political career[edit | edit source]

Tsedenbal became Mongolia's head of government after the 1954 elections with Jamsrangiin Sambuu as Chairman of the Presidium.[2]:409
