In April 2022, Carlos Fermín alongside with Darío Fermín formed the movement Proyecto Reconstrucción Nacional (PRN), a right-wing party created with an eye to transform itself into the "only party of the right". He later deleted his posts promoting the PRN on Facebook and Twitter.[1][2][3]

He is also involved in the political persecution[4] against the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) promoted by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), as one of the signatories and the head of the handling over of the letter to Diosdado Cabello calling for the PSUV to intervene in the PCV, in which he pretended to be a grassroot member of the communist party. He later left the public limelight after being succesfully identified by the PCV.[5]
