The term "Stalinism" is an erroneous pejorative term used by left anti-communists and rightists to refer to the Soviet interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, as well as its application in numerous other countries such as the DPRK.
Within the erstwhile community of socialist states, the term Stalinism was never used in theoretical publications or government documents, and Marxists do not consider Stalinism to be a distinct ideology; Stalin's theoretical contributions to Marxism-Leninism (including coining the name "Marxism-Leninism") are not considered to constitute a separate ideology.
