Nguyễn Phú Trọng (14 April 1944 – 19 July 2024) was a General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.[1] He was the paramount leader of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In 2012, he was awarded the Order of José Martí on a visit to Cuba.[2]
