Operation Northwoods was a proposed false flag operation against American citizens to blame on Cuba in order to justify war against Cuba. The proposals originated from the US Pentagon in 1962 and called for CIA operatives to commit terrorism against American military and civilian targets. It was rejected by president John F. Kennedy.[1]
