Alexandra Mikhailovna Kollontai (31 March 1872 – 9 March 1952) was a Russian communist revolutionary and proletarian feminist. She criticized bourgeois feminism as well as the class reductionism of some other Marxists.[1]
Pre-revolution
Kollontai was born in 1872 and organized the socialist women's movement in Russia and Europe before the October Revolution.[1]
Political career
After the October Revolution, Kollontai became the People's Commissar for Welfare and was the first woman in the world to be a cabinet official.[1]
