Omali Yeshitela is the founder and leader of the African People's Socialist Party. He is attempting to liberate all African people from white supremacy and colonialism.[1]

Political activism

Omali Yeshitela began his political work in the 1960s as an organizer of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. He has led the APSP and Uhuru movement since 1972. He participated in the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua and traveled to Ireland in the 1980s to meet with the Irish Republican Socialist Party.[2]

Imperialist attacks

Police and white nationalists have threatened to assassinate Chairman Omali Yeshitela.[3] In July 2022, the FBI raided Omali's house after accusing him of being funded by Russia.[4]
