The Irish Republican Socialist Party is a Marxist-Leninist and Irish Republican political party that operates over the entire island of Ireland. It split from Official Sinn Féin in 1974 due to the ceasefire of that organization's military wing the Official Irish Republican Army and the subsequent expulsion of popular Republican figure Seamus Costello.[1]
