The United Communist Party (VCP) is a Marxist-Leninist party based in the northeastern Groningen province of the Netherlands. It split from the New Communist Party of the Netherlands in 1999 over disagreements regarding a luxury housing project.[1] Subsequently, local electoral support for the NCPN dried up,[2] while the VCP continues to be represented in the region as of 2022.[3]
