The Red Party, is a big tent communist party in Norway with Trotskyist and Maoist factions among others.
It was established in 2007 as a merger of the Maoist Workers' Communist Party (KAP) and the Orthodox Marxist Red Electoral Alliance (RVA).
The party operates in bourgeois democracy as well as workers' movements. Its manifesto explicitly calls for a communist society.
