Bulgaria, officially the Republic of Bulgaria, is a country in the Balkans.
History
After the overthrow of socialism in the early 1990's, poverty rates in Bulgaria increased by 750%.[1] In 2019, 57% of Bulgarians said that the economy is worse now than it was under socialism.[2]
