Intermarium (Polish: Międzymorze) is a proposed alliance of countries between the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic Seas created by Polish nationalist Józef Piłsudski in the 1920s. British and French intelligence agencies supported the proposal and believed it would counter Germany and the Soviet Union. After the Second World War, far-right nationalists and Nazi collaborators revived the concept as part of the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations.[1]
