Caleb Maupin is an American marxist journalist who has written books about modern socialism and socialism in the United States. He founded the Center for Political Innovation, which is a marxist think tank dedicated to constructing socialist policies for the United States.
In his many live streams on YouTube, he mentions a formative moment when he attended the World Festival of Youth and Students, where he met communists from many other countries who helped him to realize that the American Left has a long way to go if it is ever to become a serious political force.
