GenZedong refers to a number of socialist online communities that originated from a single one on the US-based social media website Reddit. After Reddit quarantined GenZedong in 2022, the community split in different communities and with varying currents of Marxism.
Censorship
In March 2022, GenZedong was quarantined by Reddit.[1] GenZedong education subreddit 'GenZhou' and Military History subreddit 'GenZhukov' were banned as well for 'quarantine evasion' despite having been set up before the quarantine and for a different purpose than the original subreddit. Subsequent moderator disagreements lead users to mutiny and join the Lemmygrad GenZedong community.
