Kurds are the largest nation in the world without their own state. They live in parts of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey.[1]

Between 1980 and 2000, Turkey destroyed or deported 3,000 Kurdish villages, killing 40,000 people and making two million homeless. The USA gave Turkey $15 billion of weapons during this period.[1]
