The Renaissance was a period of European history during the 15th and 16th centuries that marked the decline of feudalism and revival of ancient art and literature. It was made possible by Islamic scholars who preserved and translated ancient works from Greece, Rome, India, and China. The Renaissance was centered around Italy, specifically Venice, which connected to trade routes in Asia.[1]
