Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov was a Soviet revolutionary, diplomat, and politician. He was the last surviving major participant in the October Revolution at the time of his death in 1986. Shortly before his death, he criticized the revisionist policies of Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze.[1]
