Andriy Volodymyrovych Parubiy (Ukrainian: Андрій Володимирович Парубій; 31 January 1971 – 30 August 2025) was a Ukrainian neo-Nazi politician who served as chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament from 2016 to 2019. Parubiy played a key role in the Orange Revolution and Euromaidan colour revolutions and, following the success of the latter, he briefly served as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in 2014.
Parubiy was assassinated in August 2025 by Mikhail Stselnikov in retaliation for his son's death in the Russo-Ukrainian War, who enlisted after being influenced by neo-Nazi figures such as Parubiy. Following his death, the Ukrainian bourgeois elite glorified him as a hero, but many Ukrainians celebrated his death and the fear it inspired in the elite, particularly in Odessa where Parubiy committed massacres in 2014.[1]
