Clara Josephine Zetkin (5 July 1857 – 20 June 1933) was a German Marxist theorist, communist politician, and women's rights activist. Until 1917, she was active in the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), when she was part of the split that created the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) following the SPD's turn to revisionism.
