Hadestown is a musical that functions as an anti-capitalist work of art. It is based off of the ancient Greek myths regarding Orpheus and Eurydice. The musical shows Orpheus starting out as an idealist who couldn't see how the world was but later coming to terms with the oppression of the proletariat and coming to lead a revolution.[1]
