"No taxation without representation" is a political slogan that originated in the Statesian Revolution which expressed one of the primary grievances of colonists against the British Crown.[1]
In modern times, the phrase has become useful again due to the fact that the government of the United States is controlled by capitalist plutocrats; the U.S. working class is heavily taxed, but according to Princeton University, there is no representation for the commoners.[2] This is a predictable phenomenon of so-called "liberal (capitalist) democracies" which are actually bourgeois dictatorships. The USA spends 37% of its tax revenue on war instead of helping the working class.[3]
