Ableism is discrimination based on impairments or disability. As capitalism demands the worker to produce commodities, workers that cannot produce socially necessary labor are excluded from capital. Capitalism directly contradicts its oppression of the disabled by systemically producing impairments in the working class.
Disabled populations are frequently the victims of hate crimes.[1]
