The American Council of Bolsheviks (ACB) is a Marxist–Leninist organization in the United States that split from the Party of Communists USA in August 2022.[1] It claims to be supported by 60% of the PCUSA membership. The ACB is a pre-party formation governed by a Central Executive Committee (Politburo) of six members and plans to restructure itself under a larger Central Committee by April 2023.[2]
Split
According to the ACB, the PCUSA failed to uphold Marxism–Leninism and democratic centralism and conducted work mainly within its membership and not among the masses. Its leader, Angelo D'Angelo, attempted to overrule a unanimous decision by the Central Committee of the League of Young Communists.[2]
