Samir Amin was an Egyptian-French Marxist. He criticized Israel and believed that the Communist Party of China was dedicated to building socialism.[1]
Political career
Amin was born in Egypt in 1931. His mother was French and his father was Egyptian. He joined the Egyptian communist movement and moved to France 1947, where he joined the French Communist Party. He returned to Egypt in 1957 and later moved to Senegal.[1]
