Gaza, more accurately Ghazzah Hāshim (غزة هاشم), is the remaining Palestinian territory after the illegal occupation by the Zionist Entity. It is located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea and is one of the two remaining Palestinian territories, the other being parts of the West Bank. It is bordered to the north and east by the occupying state, to the southwest by Egypt, and to the west by the Mediterranean Sea. It is among the five most densely populated territories in the world, home to 2 million Palestinians. It has suffered decades of occupation, siege, mass killings, and, more recently, genocide.[1]
Genocide, imposed starvation, and bombings are all carried out by the IOF, which is backed politically and militarily by the imperial core, above all the United States and Western Europe. The destruction of Gaza and the Palestinian people by the Zionist entity is not recent; it began in 1882 with the “accidental” shooting of an Palestinian man in Safed during a wedding in December 1882 by a Israeli guard from the newly established Rosh Pinna.[1]
Genocide[edit | edit source]
The conflict intensified on 7 October 2023, when Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups launched a successful incursion against the Zionist Entity as a form of resistance against 144 years of ethnic cleansing. Following this, Israel escalated a genocide against Gazans as part of its genocidal policies against Palestinians, killing a total estimated amount of 180,000 - 680,000 Palestinians.[1]
These are a few major events, there are hundreds of atrocities committed by the Entity that is not mentioned here:
Two days after the resistance, ‘’Israeli’’ Defense Minister Yoav Gallant ordered a “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip, stating: “No electricity, no food, no water, no fuel. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly.” Systematic airstrikes on civilians. By mid-November, reports indicated the destruction of the Islamic University of Gaza, the Archives, and the main water treatment plant. The use of 2,000-lb bunker buster bombs in densely populated refugee camps resulted in mass casualties.[1]
After weeks of siege and shelling of Palestinian children, women, and men, the IOF raided Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical complex. The collapse of the hospital’s capacity and the discovery of premature babies dead in disconnected incubators is evidence of intentional acts of genocide by the Zionist Entity.[1]
By January 2024, the Zionist Entity was slowly destroying Gaza’s food system, reportedly razing 22% of agricultural land and 70% of the fishing fleet, with the intention of starving the Palestinians.[1]
On February 29, 2024, the IOF opened fire on a crowd of starving Palestinians gathered around aid trucks near Gaza City. Over 110 Palestinians were killed and around 700 injured in what became known as the “Flour Massacre.”. In March 2024, a two-week IOF raid on Al-Shifa Hospital resulted in the facility’s total destruction. Afterwards, mass graves containing hundreds of bodies were discovered on the grounds, with evidence of executions and bodies crushed by bulldozers.[1]
On April 1, 2024, precision drone strikes killed seven international aid workers, as part of a broader pattern of targeting journalists and aid personnel in order to intimidate humanitarian organizations. On May 6, 2024, the IOF launched a ground offensive into Rafah, the last refuge for 1.4 million displaced Palestinians. The Rafah border crossing was seized and closed by the IOF, severing the main artery for humanitarian aid. On May 26, 2024, an Israeli airstrike hit a “safe zone” for displaced Palestinians in Tel al-Sultan. Forty-five people were burned alive in their tents, most of them women and children.[1]
Between May and October 2025, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) was operating fraudulent aid distribution points that were really sites of mass shootings and massacres targeting starving Palestinians. More than 2,600 civilians were killed while seeking food at these so-called “aid” distribution sites.[1]
On August 22, 2025, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) officially declared a famine in the Gaza Governorate, with projections showing that over 640,000 people were facing famine conditions.[1]
By the time of the October 2025 “cease-fire,” the confirmed death toll based on found bodies surpassed 66,000, while total estimated deaths range from 180,000 to 680,000 Palestinians. Since the cease-fire continues to be violated as of February 2026, the death count is still increasing, and no cease-fire is in place. Nearly all universities, museums, and historical archives in Gaza have been destroyed, with the intention of cultural genocide. The systematic destruction of maternity wards and the blocking of anesthesia and sanitary supplies show the intention to prevent births among the Palestinians.[1]
