Salvatore Giancana (May 24, 1908 – June 19, 1975) was a Statesian mafia boss based in Illinois. He helped John F. Kennedy become president but turned against the Kennedys when JFK failed to overthrow Fidel Castro and Robert Kennedy prosecuted the mafia as Attorney General. He organized the poisoning of Marilyn Monroe because her diary contained classified information about the CIA and mafia's plot to assassinate Castro.[1]
