Zhu De (1 December 1886 – 6 July 1976) was a Chinese general, military strategist, and politician in the Communist Party of China.
Early life[edit | edit source]
Before becoming a communist, Zhu was a member of the Gelaohui secret society that moved between China and Central Asia and sought to overthrow the Tsar. Zhu rose to the rank of Great Elder in Sichuan before joining the CPC.[1]
