Welcome
Comrade, welcome to ProleWiki! I hope we can assist you in anything you may need to make yourself comfortable with the project. You're already aware of our Discord server, it's usually there where we have editorial discussions, but we use the wiki for that as well. To improve our effort to make our project grow with more users and contributions, I wanted to know how you found out about the project, so we can develop our practice further. Also considering you have some experience with MediaWiki, feel free to suggest anything to improve the website as well. — Comrade Forte (talk) 03:37, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
I found ProleWiki on Lemmygrad and I already knew about Leftypedia before that. Comrade Ledlecreeper27 (talk) 13:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
Invite
Greetings, comrade!
For the past week the administration of ProleWiki has been discussing your consistent and high quality contributions to the project, and we decided to invite you to join the administration with us to discuss the project, its future and how to improve it.
Since the project is in its early stages, there's just 3 comrades in the administration, and we don't have any defined tasks yet. In the administration, we mainly have general discussions about the project and how to make it grow further, we share ideas with each other and try to put them in practice. These discussions usually happen in the ProleWiki Discord in the administration channels.
ProleWiki has stored in it countless hours of our labor, and we plan to keep the project going for as long as it can. For it to strive, it requires creative work on our part, but most importantly our commitment to the project. For that reason, we do ask that administrators can remain active in the long-term. It is possible to leave early, of course, but please take time to consider if you are able to participate with us for a long period.
However, we do not expect that each one of us will work tirelessly and menially like we do under wage-slavery. We respect each other's limits and daily life so no one is really obliged to do anything under a time limit. But of course, there should be a balance. For instance, we had 4 administrators at some point in 2021, but one of them silently stopped participating in the discussions for months. In cases such as this, the commitment was broken, and no reason was given. This is also the reason why we are thoroughly making it clear what it means to be in the administration before inviting anyone.
We're really excited to have you participate with us and suggest ideas! We hope you're interested in becoming an admin. Just get back to me once you've made your decision and if you agree I'll add you to the admin group on Discord! — Comrade Forte (talk) 14:19, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
