A wiki is a website that allows its viewers to edit it or make corrections. Ward Cunningham created the first wiki, WikiWikiWeb, in 1995. The term wiki is based on the Hawaiian word for "quick."[1] Currently, the most popular wiki in the world is Wikipedia.

- ↑ Conservapedia could be considered socially conservative according to its own criteria for the term. Conservapedia's article on Social conservatism says that "Social conservatism refers to conservative values on non-fiscal matters, such as promoting defence of marriage, opposition to abortion, opposition to homosexuality, and promoting common sense Christian values."[1] Conservapedia describes marriage as "the most beautiful, perfect, simple, and potentially productive human institution possible" and claims that "Any society which has lessened the sancity of marriage has perished, whereas those that have upheld the sanctity of marriage have endured" in the section of its article on Marriage titled "Attacks on the institution of marriage".[2] It denounces abortion as "a betrayal of the defenseless unborn child"[3] and homosexuality as a sin,[4] and it upholds what it considers "Christian Values".[5]

Note: There is a template at the top of the article which states that "Its contents may be outdated."We aim to make an encyclopedia which is representative of left-wing anti-capitalism in general. That means, we welcome the views of all stripes of leftists, and we want articles to be written in a way that represents this plurality of viewpoints, rather than a single and unbending doctrine.
