The history of humanity encompasses the period from around 200,000 BCE to the present day. The first humans emerged from the continent of Africa, but spread to other regions, possibly due to changing climate conditions. The whole human population of Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas are descendants of a single group of hunter-gatherers who left Africa around 85,000 years ago.[1]

Humans throughout this period developed many lifestyles and modes of production, such as primitive communism slavery, feudalism and capitalism.
