The International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) is an annual conference attended by communist and workers' parties from several nations. It originated in 1998 when the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) invited communist and workers' parties to participate in an annual conference where parties could gather to share their experiences and issue a joint declaration.[1] In recent years, the Communist Party of China's participation to the IMCWP has shifted, sometimes being listed as participants but not as contributors.[2][3] Since 2022, Solidnet does not publish the list of participants anymore and the Communist Party of China is not listed at all.[4]

The 24th meeting was scheduled to take place in Beirut, Lebanon between 24 and 27 October 2024. However, it has been postponed until further notice.[5]
Ideology[edit | edit source]
The IMCWP's political positions vary. While most parties adhere to the KKE Model, thus making it the predominant ideology of the IMCWP, there are also parties which adhere to other revisionist or reformist ideologies as well as those that adhere to Marxism-Leninism such as the Communist Party of China, the Communist Party of Cuba, the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
