The International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) is an annual conference attended by communist and workers' parties from several nations. It originated in 1998 when the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) invited communist and workers' parties to participate in an annual conference where parties could gather to share their experiences and issue a joint declaration.[1]

The Communist Party of China has not participated in any meeting since 2021, probably due to KKE's hostility towards China.

Ideology[edit | edit source]

The IMCWP's political positions vary. While most parties adhere to the KKE Model, thus making it the predominant ideology of the IMCWP, there are also parties which adhere to other revisionist or reformist ideologies as well as those that adhere to Marxism-Leninism such as the Communist Party of China, the Communist Party of Cuba, the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Workers' Party of Korea (which adheres to its own version of Marxism-Leninism, Juche).
