The Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) is a communist party in Cyprus. The current General Secretary of the party is Stefanos Stefanou. He has served the position since July of 2021.[1]

AKEL joined the European United Left-Nordic Green Left in 2004 when Cyprus joined the European Union.[2]
