Politics
SUCI(C) has been a member of several CPI(M) - led Left Front governments in West Bengal . However, they allied with anti-communist Trinamool Congress Party to bring down the Left Front government in the aftermath of Nandigram incident.
The party has also questionable stances on social issues , calling homosexuality a sign of "mental deformity and morbidity."[1]
