The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist–Leninist) (abbreviation CPC-ML), also known as the Marxist–Leninist Party of Canada (MLPC), is a communist party in Canada.

Program[edit | edit source]

The CPC-ML advocates for adopting a new constitution through a referendum and allowing parliament to choose the head of state, who is currently an unelected monarch. The CPC-ML recognizes Quebec's right to self-determination. It demands increased funding for social programs.[1]

Foreign policy[edit | edit source]

The CPC-ML believes Canada should leave the U.S.-led organizations NATO and NORAD and stop collaborating with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. It believes Canada should avoid going to war or interfering in the affairs of other countries.[1]

Immigration[edit | edit source]

The CPC-ML believes Canada should end deportations of undocumented workers and migrant workers should be able to have permanent residency in Canada.[1]

Indigenous rights[edit | edit source]

The CPC-ML demands repealing the Indian Act of 1876 and paying reparations to colonized peoples. It believes that diplomatic relations should be established with and between indigenous nations.[1]
