The Congress Party for the Independence of Madagascar (French: Parti du Congrès de l'indépendence de Madagascar; Malagasy: Antoko'ny Kongresi'ny Fahaleovantenan'i Madagasikara, AKFM) is a communist party in Madagascar founded on 8 November 1958. The organization that took part in the founding of this party was a group called the UPM, which was created by a man named Francis Sautron.
